Check out and drive down to Agra (Agra was once the capital of the Mughal empire and even today it seems to linger in the past. Not surprising, for the Mughal emperors with their passion for building, endowed the city with some of the finest structures in the world. It is very easy to slip away here through the centuries into the grandeur and intrigues of the Mughal court. Agra is an old city and it is said that its name was derived from Agrabana, a forest that’s finds mention in the epic. In more recent times Agra came into prominence when Sikandar Lodi made it his capital city in 1501. The Lodi rule was to end very soon and Agra passed into the possession of the Mughals. It was during the time of the third emperor Akbar that Agra came into its own). Arrive Agra in the afternoon and check-in at your hotel. Relax by the poolside/courtyard upon arrival. After breakfast check-out and proceed to Agra Fort ( Near the gardens of the Taj Mahal stands the important 16th-century Mughal monument known as the Red Fort of Agra. More often than not, the Agra Fort is overshadowed by the pristine beauty of the Taj, but for those looking for something beyond romance, the Agra Fort is worth seeing. Akbar, the greatest empire-builder of the Mughals, commissioned the Agra Fort in 1565, and his grandson Shah Jahan, pulled down many of the original buildings and replaced them with marble ones, while Aurangzeb added the ramparts. Situated on the bank of river Yamuna, the Agra Fort today, stands as a citadel of the past that has witnessed centuries slip by. Built in red stone, the Agra fort stretches almost two kilometers on the bank of the Yamuna. En route visit Fatehpur Sikri (40 kms west of Agra, is built a city predominantly in Red Sandstone and is called Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri was built by the Great Mughal Emperor Akbar during 1570 and 1585. It is one of the finest examples of the culmination of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Fatehpur Sikri Mosque is said to be a copy of the mosque in Mecca and has designs, derived from the Persian & Hindu architecture). Upon arrival, check-in at your Hotel.

Morning after a relaxed breakfast proceed for a guided tour of Jaipur covering The City Palace (In the heart of the old city, it occupies a large area divided into a series if courtyards, gardens & buildings. It’s a blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture. A portion of which has been converted into museum housing royal artifacts art, carpets, enamelware & old weapons), Jantar Mantar (or observatory built by the astronomer Maharaja Jai Singh. Morning after breakfast we will take you to a guided excursion to Amber Fort (The classical romantic Rajasthan Fort palace. It’s construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592 and completed by his descendant Jai Singh I. Its rugged forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds its ultimate refinement. Painted scenes of hunting and war adorn the walls with precious stones and mirrors set into the plaster. In the foreground is the Maota Lake with breath taking reflections of the magnificent Amber Palace). At noon drive back to Delhi and drop at airport to board the flight for onward destination.
